About Carolyn & Bob Graham

Carolyn and Bob moved to Discovery Bay in 2011 from San Ramon where they had lived for over 20 years.

Carolyn was born in Aurora, Illinois and her family moved to Antioch when she was young. She graduated from Cal State University Chico. Carolyn began her career in the hosptality industry as Director of Human Resources at the Concord Hilton. That began a successful career working for a number of major hotel companies at both the local and regional level. She then changed industries and worked in financial services for ten years in Human Resources, Recruiting and Operations. Carolyn was then recruited by the National Food Laboratory in Livermore as Vice President of Operations. In that position she was responsible for Human Resources, Accounting, IT, Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Facilities Manaement. She retired from there in 2014.

Carolyn has served on numerous Boards of Directors and was elected to the Discovery Bay Community Services District Board of Directors in 2021. She previously served as President of the Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Bob was born in Columbus Ohio and grew up in Groveport Ohio. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and then joined the US Navy. He was a Lieutenant and Vietnam veteran. He first lived in California when he was stationed at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo. After completing his enlistment he used the GI Bill to earn his MBA at Michigan State Universty. He then began a successful career in Hotel Management as Controller and then General Manager of a number of hotels including the Concord Hilton, Sheraton Anahiem, and Ramada Renaissance (now Marriott) in Walnut Creek. He left Hotel Management to accept a position of Director of Administration and Finance at the Culinary Institute of America in St Helena from which he retired in 2011.

Bob has also served on numerous Boards of Directors. Bob was a member of Rotary and is a Paul Harris Frellow. He still works part time during tax season for Intuit as a tax expert. He is an Enrolled Agent, a certfied designation from the IRS.

In their spare time Carolyn and Bob enjoy travel, boating, golf, cooking and gardening.
